Kong
A Kong is a fantastic tool to train your dog, help with separation anxiety, teach your dog to settle in a crate, in the car or on their mat and prevent unwanted chewing, plus much more. Kong’s come in varying shapes and sizes. Please click on the image to be redirected to the Lucky Pet Website for a comprehensive guide on how to use a Kong and what size is right for your dog.
For me the easiest way to fill the Kong is to put some dry kibble mixed with a little shredded cheese in the top close to the small opening, simply use my dog's daily prime 100 dog roll, chop it into pieces and pack it into the base of the Kong. You can also mix some healthy fruit and veg into the Kong to keep your dog healthy and mix up the flavour.
When filling the Kong start easy and increase difficulty as your dog begins to enjoy it. Always look for signs of frustration or disengagement and adjust the difficulty accordingly.
